Biography

Mr. Thackston is a member of the American and Mississippi Bar Associations, the Washington County Bar and the American Judicature Society. He possesses the rank of Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocates and has served as that organization’s Mississippi Chapter President. Mr. Thackston received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University in 1963 and his law degree from the University of Mississippi in 1967, where he served on the Board of Editors of the Mississippi Law Journal. Prior to joining Lake Tindall, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Claude F. Clayton, Chief Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi and Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
